Connecticut twins set Guinness World Record in pickleball to commemorate late mother

Twin brothers Angelo A. and Ettore Rossetti from Connecticut have unofficially set a new Guinness World Record for the longest pickleball volley rally, hitting more than 10,000 consecutive volleys in two hours. The event, held at Pickleball America in Stamford, Connecticut, was dedicated to their late mother, Angelina Mary Cofrancesco Rossetti, who passed away from pancreatic cancer two years ago. The brothers placed her high school photo on the net, drawing inspiration from her memory throughout the challenge. The rally was part of a fundraising event for Save the Children, raising $106,000 to date, with hopes of reaching $200,000.

The Rossetti brothers have a history of setting Guinness World Records, with this being their fourth title. Their previous records include the longest tennis volley rally and the longest pickleball rally. The brothers were motivated to set this new record not only to honor their mother but also to continue their philanthropic efforts with Save the Children, having raised over $250,000 since 2008. Despite the pressure of the event, the memory of their mother kept them focused and determined, especially during challenging moments. The bond between the twins and their shared commitment to their cause was evident as they synchronized their movements without verbal communication, reflecting their deep connection and shared mission.
