Adriatic Yacht Features Floating Pickleball Court

Imagine playing pickleball on a yacht, where every dink and drop shot is performed over the water. That's the unique experience offered by M/Y Aretha, a luxury yacht cruising the Adriatic, which features a full-sized, inflatable pickleball court attached to its side. This floating court has captured attention and raised some playful questions. What happens if the court drifts away?

Via Croatia, the company behind this venture, assures that the court is securely attached and won’t float off. The platform takes about four hours to inflate and deflate, remaining stable in calm seas for up to two days. Any balls that end up in the water are promptly retrieved by the attentive crew. Despite the challenges of playing on water, this setup showcases the sport's growing popularity and creative adaptations.

Beyond the novelty of a floating court, M/Y Aretha offers luxury accommodations with 15 cabins, housing up to 30 guests and 12 crew members. Amenities include a water slide, jet skis, multiple hot tubs, a pool, a cinema, massage suites, and an onboard chef. The yacht cruises through Croatia, making stops at ports with land-based pickleball courts in Zagreb, Brac, Split, and Veli Losinj, and even converting tennis courts in Dubrovnik for pickleball play. Chartering this unique experience costs between $65,000 and $95,000, depending on the season, not including docking, drinks, or tips.
