Introducing PowerPlay Pickleball™: Los Angeles' First Dedicated Pickleball Venue

Los Angeles is set to welcome PowerPlay Pickleball™, the city's first dedicated pickleball venue, which is poised to become the central hub for pickleball enthusiasts of all ages. Scheduled to open in two phases, this pioneering facility aims to cater to the diverse needs of the community, offering 36 courts for recreational and tournament play, as well as special events. This development reflects the rapid growth of pickleball as the fastest-growing sport in the U.S., appealing to players ranging from 8 to 80 years old.

The first phase of PowerPlay Pickleball™ is set to launch in May 2024 and will feature 10 indoor courts. Complementing the courts is a 2,800 square foot loft that will house a pro-shop, a board room, a podcast studio, a beer garden, and an athlete recovery center. This phase is designed not only to provide top-notch facilities for playing pickleball but also to create a social and professional space where the community can gather, share, and grow.

Looking forward to Winter 2024-25, the second phase will introduce 26 outdoor courts and a two-story clubhouse with a 6,000 square foot patio area. This expansion is designed to enhance the community aspect of the club, providing ample space for social interactions and community building activities. Additionally, PowerPlay Pickleball™ is committed to fostering young talent through its support of the National Junior Pickleball Tour, which promotes youth involvement in the sport through a supportive tournament format.

Strategically located at the intersection of the 405 and 110 freeways, PowerPlay Pickleball™ offers easy access from all areas of Los Angeles. This central location is crucial as it positions the club within a short drive from major areas such as Manhattan Beach, Long Beach Airport, and downtown LA, making it an ideal spot for residents to engage in pickleball activities, whether they are coming from work or home.
